Mauri Ora is a unique consultancy that combines the extensive experience, background and qualifications of its key Associates and networks.
Mauri Ora Associates was established in 2000 to provide management consultancy and education services to a broad range of organisations in the public and private sectors. Its principal aim is to improve the delivery of culturally appropriate services to Māori.
A secondary aim is to elevate indigenous development by expanding into other sectors.

Who We Are
Julian Pinfold
MA
Julian is Mauri Ora’s General Manager and is based in Auckland. Julian has 20 years of mainstream business management experience, holding GM positions in both Australia & New Zealand, in both the multinational corporate and smaller private business sectors. Prior to that Julian has worked variously as a computer programmer, researcher and natural therapist. He retains a strong interest in complementary & natural medicine.

Dr David Jansen
MB.ChB, MRNZCGP, BHB, BA (Māori), Dip Tchg
David is Ngāti Raukawa and was formerly a resource teacher of Māori studies and language in the Hawkes Bay before he completed his training as a medical practitioner at Middlemore Hospital in South Auckland.
David’s main focus is running clinical teaching, Te Reo and Tikanga Māori programmes for Māori health professionals throughout the country. He is also Chairman of Te Ataarangi Educational Trust. David has also published a phrase book of Māori medical terms that was released in February 2006 as a resource for the Māori health sector.
He is currently a General Practitioner in South Auckland, and Lecturer at the University of Auckland School of Medicine and Health Sciences. David is also a member of Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners.
